According to various reports, after weeks of trade rumors, superstar point guard Chris Paul has officially been traded from the New Orleans Hornets to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Paul will join star big man Blake Griffin to form one of the more exciting rosters, while the Hornets receive shooting guard Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman, forward Al-Faroug Aminu, and an unprotected first-round pick in the deal.
The trade comes less than a week after the NBA-owned Hornets backed out of a three-team trade involving the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets, after other NBA owners complained.
It’s the Chris Paul and Blake Griffin show in L.A. now, as both should see a nice spike in fantasy production. On the flip-side, Chris Kaman won’t have to share the ball inside with Blake Griffin or DeAndre Jordan, and Eric Gordon should instantly be the top scorer for the Hornets. Kaman, Gordon, and L.A. center DeAndre Jordan all benefit immensely from this trade.
