Report: Joe Johnson Agrees to re-sign with Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly made an offer that Joe Johnson can’t refuse.

Despite worries that he would seek greener pastures elsewhere, it’s being reported by various outlets that the All-Star guard has agreed to a maximum contract with the Hawks.

The contract would pay him close to $120 million over six years.

Johnson averaged over 21 points per game last season in helping lift the Hawks into the upper echelon of the Eastern Conference. (more…)

The elbow injury he sustained in Saturday’s game has turned out to be much more serious than originally feared, as Bogut reportedly has dislocated his right elbow, sprained his right wrist, and broken his right hand.

Talk about a trifecta.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas a Free Agent: Where Will He Go?

IlgauskasYahoo! Sports has reported that former Cleveland Cavalier center, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, has been bought out of his contract with the Washington Wizards and waived, effectively making him a much sought-after NBA free agent.

Ilgauskas, who was originally acquired for forward Antawn Jamison in a three-team trade, never played for Washinton, and after reporting to Washington and taking a physical, immediately returned to Cleveland. (more…)
