3. Clear as much cap space as possible for free agents this summer
Like it or not, that’s the state of today’s NBA. Few teams are set in their rosters for next year; they want as much flexibility as possible. (more…)

The 2010 NBA Draft has come and gone, and there weren’t as many “big name” trades as many expected.
When the biggest names that switched teams were Ryan Gomes, Martell Webster, and Morris Peterson, there isn’t a whole lot of marquee activity.
However, there were several trades involving draft picks, which we’ll get to shortly.
So, who won and who lost? (more…)

Let’s just get it out of the way. Luke Babbitt (hell, throw Gordon Hayward in the mix, too) is white. He has a decent handle, a sweet jumper, and can create his own shot.
Which, naturally, automatically means he can’t play defense, has zero lateral quickness, isn’t explosive, doesn’t have a true position, is a “tweener”, can’t keep up with elite athletes, and can’t do any of the awesome things he did in college at the next level. (more…)

With the big day just three days away, NBA Soup takes a closer look at both rounds of the draft, while offering expert picks and analysis. (more…)
