Zydrunas Ilgauskas a Free Agent: Where Will He Go?

IlgauskasYahoo! Sports has reported that former Cleveland Cavalier center, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, has been bought out of his contract with the Washington Wizards and waived, effectively making him a much sought-after NBA free agent.

Ilgauskas, who was originally acquired for forward Antawn Jamison in a three-team trade, never played for Washinton, and after reporting to Washington and taking a physical, immediately returned to Cleveland. (more…)

ThorntonWe knew New Orleans’ rookie guard Marcus Thornton had some game.

Analysts all over were marveling over what a steal he was when the Hornets got him with a second-round pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, and after some solid early season games, everyone who backed him coming out of LSU felt vindicated.

Fantasy Risers: Josh Howard’s Injury Opens Door for Other Wizards Players

Mike MillerFresh off a big trade, Washington Wizards’ forward Josh Howard is already waving good-bye to his new team.

The star forward went down in Monday night’s game with a knee injury, which is now being reported as a torn ACL, effectively putting an end to his short run with his new team.

Howard performed well in just four games with the Wizards, picking up his feeble average of 12 points per game with Dallas to over 14 points per game, including his last game, where he was only able to log eight minutes due to his injury. (more…)
