2011 NBA Playoffs | Game Picks for April 29th

All the first round series are now complete, except for the one that has easily been the most shocking. The Grizzlies and Spurs will play game six tonight in Memphis, as the eighth seeded Grizzlies have a chance to move on to the conference semifinals with a win over the West’s top-seeded Spurs.
Will the Spurs be able to force a game seven, or will Memphis finish them off, creating one of the biggest upsets in NBA history? We’re about to find out.

San Antonio Spurs @ Memphis Grizzlies, 9:00pm ET (Grizzlies lead series 3-2)

Gary Neal was able to save the Spurs’ 2011 title hopes by knocking down a three to send the game to overtime, and the veteran Tony Parker overcome some early game struggles to take over in the extra period. Now the series shifts back to Memphis.

Memphis was able to win games three and four at home, and we can expect them to come out and play very well tonight. They are a young, athletic team with a lot of depth that should be able to finish off the Spurs.

San Antonio’s age is finally showing, and they don’t look like they deserve the number one seed in the West at all.

Memphis 98, San Antonio 92
