Father Time Robbing Celtics and Spurs of Championship Contention?
Father Time appears to have spoken.
While both the Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs certainly made the most of their time on top of the NBA , their respective performances to this point in the 2009-10 season suggests their glory days may be in the past.
Let’s start with the Celtics.
Boston currently sits at 36-21 and in first place in the Atlantic Divison, five games ahead of the rising Toronto Raptors. (more…)
2009-10 NBA Awards Watch: LeBron James Still the King in MVP Race
The NBA regular season is nearing its end, with most teams having about 25 games to go.
After that, teams will either be battling it out in the playoffs, or positioning themselves for the draft and the upcoming free agency bonanza.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas a Free Agent: Where Will He Go?
Yahoo! Sports has reported that former Cleveland Cavalier center, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, has been bought out of his contract with the Washington Wizards and waived, effectively making him a much sought-after NBA free agent.
Ilgauskas, who was originally acquired for forward Antawn Jamison in a three-team trade, never played for Washinton, and after reporting to Washington and taking a physical, immediately returned to Cleveland. (more…)
NBA Dream Team: Compiling a Roster Today To Win Tomorrow
We’re beginning to lose sight of what basketball is really all about. Then again, perhaps we did a long time ago.
Gone are the days of the “Dream Team” and the USA dominating in the Olympic Games. The days of the San Antonio Spurs winning games and titles with their crafty veterans and stingy defense are slowly fading away.
